Finding Your Roots. Finding Your Story.
The Process

You will be working with a professional who abides by a rigid code of ethics as set forth by the Association of Professional Genealogists.

You will be asked to provide a detailed research request, which includes all known information concerning the family or individual to be researched as well as any previous genealogy records or research that has been conducted. The Ancestor Detector is not responsible for duplicate information or misdirection of effort due to a lack on the client’s part to provide all necessary information.

An agreement will be made about the work to be done and a contract will be in place before any money changes hands.

Upon the completion of each job, the client will receive a clear and detailed research analysis report documenting all information found, which will be neatly presented in a Presentation Binder. The Presentation Binder will also include copies of all government documents and certificates, any photocopies made during the research process, and all family charts.
